A Beloved Ocean City, MD Tradition
For more than 60 years, Jolly Roger Amusement Parks has been entertaining guests of all ages in Ocean City, Maryland. With two park locations—the Pier and 30th Street—spanning over 36 acres, Jolly Roger is the place for family fun.
A park ticket purchase gives guests the opportunity to experience an array of thrilling rides like the Giant Wheel at the Pier and SpeedWorld’s five-story, 1,500-feet-long Cyclone wooden coaster, the East Coast’s only wooden cart coaster. Featuring 11 tracks and high adrenaline Formula 1 cars, SpeedWorld is the largest go-kart facility on the East Coast. Guests can also swim with mermaids at Splash Mountain Water Park and play mini golf on two themed miniature golf courses, Jungle Golf and Treasure Golf. Jolly Roger also offers free entertainment, including a circus, Lollipop the Clown and Pirate Show, all at the 30th Street location.

“The park is a must-do while in Ocean City,”
says Dawn Dillon, Director of Sales and Marketing.
“Whether you ride, swim, splash, golf or putt,
come have fun at Jolly Roger.”
In 1964, Charles “Buddy” Jenkins opened the Arnold Palmer Putting Course and Driving Range at the now 30th Street location, and today the park continues to thrive. “The park is 62 years old and keeps getting better and making more memories!” says Dillon.
In celebration of America’s 250th anniversary, on July 4 the Pier location will offer a 360 photo booth with free photos in the evening. Also new for 2026, the two Jolly Roger Mini Golf courses will get updates and Splash Mountain will have new picnic tables, providing park goers more places to rest during their fun-filled day of adventure.
Jolly Roger has been a staple in Ocean City for decades and as a way of giving back to the local community, the park is partnering again with Toys For Tots in 2026 for the Annual Black Friday Sale. Each year the event connects the park’s team with the community at the Speed World Building, which transforms into a festive holiday village.

“Jolly Roger is all about families spending time together and having fun,” says Dillon. “A visit to Jolly Roger can be a nostalgic experience for guests who grew up coming to the park, so it’s amazing to see them rediscover childhood memories and create new memories with their kids.”
