Here are some pet-friendly places that you can bring your dog.
Ocean City Boardwalk and Beach
From Oct. 1 to April 30, pets are allowed to be on the Ocean City Boardwalk and Ocean City’s beach. This is the perfect opportunity to go for a run on the boardwalk with your pet or simply lounge on the uncrowded beach. Pets must be on a leash at all times.
Ocean City Dog Playground
Ocean City has a sanctuary just for dogs. The Ocean City Dog Playground, at 94th Street, is the perfect place to have some fun with Fido. The park is divided into two areas: one for small dogs and one for large dogs. Access cards are required to utilize the dog park.
Assateague Island and Assateague State Park
Both Assateague Island National Seashore and Assateague State Park allow pets in certain areas.
Pets are permitted in specific areas of the Maryland side of Assateague Island. This is a great place to take your dog on a hike and explore the area’s pristine natural environment.

Bring your pet to play on the beach at Assateague State Park. Pets are allowed in the marina area, camp loops G, H and I, and in the day-use area after Labor Day until Memorial Day weekend.
