Assateague Island National Seashore

Assateague State Park

Assateague State Park is Maryland’s only oceanfront park, located on Assateague Island. The state park offers several interpretive programs that can teach all ages about Assateague’s natural environment and wildlife. Take a bayside canoe and kayak tour at Assateague State Park. One of the park’s naturalist staff members will take you out to paddle along the Sinepuxent Bay.

Isle of Wight Bay

The Isle of Wight Bay is one of Ocean City’s central inland bays. It is connected to the Sinepuxent Bay to the south and the Assawoman Bay to the north. The Isle of Wight Bay is one of the most-used waterways in Ocean City. Paddle out towards the Route 50 bridge where you’ll find anglers reeling in a catch, or by one of the numerous bayside bars and restaurants.
