The month of August is full of fun and exciting events in Ocean City. Whether you’re searching for family-friendly events, food and drink events, live music or free festivals, you’ll have plenty of options to choose from. Here are our top five events happening in Ocean City during August.
Top August 2026 Events in Ocean City
Aug. 1: Peach Festival
Spend the day in Berlin at the Annual Berlin Peach Festival. This event, a favorite among locals, is dedicated to everything peach. Take part in or watch a pie-eating and baking competition. Or, browse the vendors, play games, enjoy live music and much more at the Calvin B. Taylor House Museum. From 10am to 3pm enjoy a variety of peachy fun from the downtown Berlin businesses.
Aug. 3-8: White Marlin Open
Watch as skilled anglers compete for millions of dollars in prize money during the White Marlin Open. The White Marlin Open is the world’s largest billfish tournament, located right here in Ocean City. The tournament awards prize money for catches of white marlin, blue marlin, tuna, wahoo, shark and, new this year, heaviest dolphin.
Aug. 3-8: Marlin Fest
Watch the weigh ins of the White Marlin Open being streamed on a big screen at the inlet. The Marlin Fest is a family friendly beach party has something for everyone. Food & drink, entertainment, vendors, a variety of beach activities, and more.
Aug. 13-15 Poor Girls Open
Ocean City’s fishing scene gets a touch of pink during the Poor Girls Open. This women’s only billfish release tournament benefits breast cancer research. In addition to the catch and release tournament, the Poor Girls Open also features silent auctions and other fun ways to raise money. Over the past three years, the tournament has raised over $100,000 for the American Cancer Society.
Aug. 27-30: Ocean City Jeep Week
Jeeps invade Ocean City during Ocean City Jeep Week. Jeep owners can enjoy beach crawls, a sand course and much more during this four-day event.
