The month of May is full of fun and exciting events in Ocean City. Whether you’re searching for family-friendly events, food and drink events, live music or free festivals, you’ll have plenty of options to choose from. May 4-7: Springfest
Join us for Springfest’s 32nd Anniversary! Springfest celebrates spring and the upcoming summer season. It is four dynamic days of delicious food, live entertainment and unique arts and crafts. Springfest is located in the Inlet Lot at the south end of Ocean City’s famous Boardwalk.. Springfest serves up a continuous variety of musical performances. Admission to the four-day event is free.
Bring your appetite so you can enjoy delicious food from famous Eastern Shore delicacies to a wide assortment of food. Food vendors will serve a variety of delicious food, as the Springfest artisans will delight your eyes with their arts and crafts creations during the Springfest celebration.
May 6: Maryland Coast Bike Festival
Explore your favorite route on the first annual Maryland Coast Bike Festival on Saturday, May 6th! This event will have 3 routes for you to choose from, making it the perfect bike festival for everyone. The most popular route is a 17 mile “Island Ride” there and back, flat easy ride. The festival will also include bike vendors & clubs, live music, food, craft beer and arts and crafts.
May 18: The Doo Wop Project
Back by popular demand! The Doo Wop Project, featuring members of the Broadway hit musicals “Jersey Boys” and “Motown the Musical” will be shaking up the stage of the Ocean City Maryland Performing Arts Center Thursday, May 18, 2023 at 8p.m.
The Doo Wop Project traces the evolution of Doo Wop music from the classic sound of five guys singing harmonies on a street corner to some of the biggest hits on the radio today. Throughout the show the audience is taken on a journey from foundational tunes by groups such as the Crests, Belmonts and Flamingos through their influences on the sounds of Smokey Robinson, the Temptations, and the Four Seasons all the way to Michael Jackson, Jason Mraz and Amy Winehouse. Hear some of the greatest music in American pop and rock history.
May 18-21: Cruisin’ Ocean City
Cruise on down to Ocean City Maryland for the 32nd Annual Cruisin Ocean City, May 18-19-20-21, 2023. This event will feature over 3,000 hot rods, customs, classics and trucks. While the main events will take place at the beautiful beachside Inlet Parking lot, which is located along the historic OC boardwalk, and at the Ocean City Convention Center, there will be various car shows citywide.
There will also be entertainment, boardwalk parades, special guests, featured cars, live music, celebrities and more. Scheduled to appear at Cruisin 2023 is Joe Martin and Amanda Martin from the hit show Iron Resurrection. Joe and Amanda will be at the Beachside Inlet on Friday May 19th from 11am-4pm and inside the OC Convention Center on Saturday May 20th from 11am-4pm. Also, celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the classic movie American Graffiti with the stars and cars!
May 20: 6th Annual Old Pro Open
Get ready to SWING into the LARGEST Mini-Golf Tournament, the Old Pro Open on the EAST COAST at OLD PRO GOLF on 68th Street, Ocean City Maryland is Saturday 5/20!
Get your game face on and tee off in our thrilling tournament-style golf event, where you’ll have the chance to win the highly-coveted GREEN JACKET and other amazing prizes.
