Just because the summer is winding down does not mean the fun has to stop in Ocean City, Maryland. One of Ocean City’s most popular festivals takes place after Labor Day weekend. Bring the whole family out for four days of fun during Sunfest.

About Sunfest

Sunfest is one of Ocean City’s largest and best festivals. Now in its 45th year, Sunfest has been ranked one of the best arts and crafts shows in the country. Browse the artists showcasing their handcrafted works and demonstrating their talents.

Along with arts and crafts, Sunfest will feature over 30 food vendors dishing out your favorite Eastern Shore fare as well as pit beef, gyros, Asian food and much more. Look to the sky to observe the spectacular kites during the Sunfest Kite Festival, presented by The Kite Loft.Perfect for the whole family, children will love the hayrides and inflatables on the beach, while adults will enjoy the live music. Sunfest will have live entertainment on two stages all day long.

Sunfest will be held rain or shine Thursday through Sunday, Sept. 19–22 at the Ocean City Inlet. Come out Thursday through Saturday from 10 a.m.–10 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m.–6 p.m. Admission to Sunfest is free with the exception of the headlining performers.

Live Music at Sunfest

Headliners for the 2019 Sunfest include “Who’s Bad” The Ultimate Michael Jackson Experience, Granger Smith and Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue. Performances for each musical headliner have a separate ticket price. Tickets for “Who’s Bad” start at $10, while Granger Smith and Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue start at $25.

Getting to Sunfest

Sunfest offers transportation from the Roland E. Powell Convention Center to the Inlet Parking Lot. The Sunfest Express will take festival goers to and from the grounds for $3. Shuttles depart every 30 minutes.

The boardwalk tram is also an excellent way to get to Sunfest, for just $4 per person.
